Marvel Legends Series Namor the Sub-Mariner (Okoye BAF series)

I guess I should finish up the Okoye BAF series. So here's a look at Namor, the Sub-Mariner.

Namor is a great looking figure. He is in his classic appearance and it is a huge improvement over Hasbro's previous effort. The likeness is superb. They truly captured his look, especially with the eyebrows which bend at a point and the long pointy ears. His hair is combed back and has a slick appearance. The torso I believe is new. It looks similar to the Unworthy Thor's but it's not. This guy is shredded. Just check out the ribs area. The muscle lines were sculpted in deep. His trunks too are new. The belt and "scales" design were sculpted. They are coloured in a metallic green. I wish the paint apps were better for the belt. There's not enough gold applied and the green can be seen underneath. The arms and legs reuses those from the Walgreens version.

A quick comparison between classic and modern version. You can really see the style of the different eras through the head sculpts.

Accessories. He comes with an alternate bearded head, an extra pair of open (swimming) hands and his trident. The BAF parts are the arms of Okoye.

I can't recall when he spotted a bearded look to be honest. The head sculpt looks pretty good and has a modern feel compared with the default head. A different sculpt was used. The hair is a bit messed up here, the ears are shorter and the facial hair was sculpted on. The eyebrows are more curved here as well. The head can fit on the Walgreens version. I forgot to take a pic of that.

I like that he comes with his trident. And a proper trident at that, not a reused Odin spear. He can hold it well in both hands. Note that you may need to separate the thumb from his fingers on his left hand in order for him to hold the trident.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. The ab crunch allows one click forward and one click back.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! It's nice to see Hasbro revisiting classic appearances. Thanks for viewing!
